Wisdom In Light is run by myself, Dawn Marshall and my husband Darrell Marshall. I am a medium/clairvoyant/empath as well as Theta Practitioner, and will soon be doing hypnotherapy including past life regressions. My husband is a Reiki Healer, Theta Healer and a sensitive. I have had this gift all of my life, but was raised Southern Baptist and taught that it was wrong, so I shut it out as best I could, especially since I didn’t understand what it was and couldn’t talk to anyone about it. In my teenage years and throughout my twenties it was very strong, but I still didn’t know what it was. I would instantly know things about people when I met them, things about their past, their lives now, what kind of person they are and even what kind of mood they were in. It wasn’t until about 3 years ago that I started opening up to the spiritual world and started my spiritual path. It started by me being fired for the first time in my life and it turned out to be a huge blessing. I got to stay home with my kids and I had lots of time for hobbies, and I started making crafts and jewelry and I found it was a type of “meditation” for me, it felt like I went to another place. I also had time to read and watch tv and found myself watching and reading spiritual topics. I caught Lisa Williams on tv one day and that was what really kick-started my path… I had seen John Edward and Sylvia Browne, but didn’t really feel a connection, but when I watched Lisa, something clicked, I thought, this lady is cool, she’s compassionate, and she’s just like any other person, in fact alot like me, and I watched what she did and thought, wait a second, that’s pretty much what I can do…. okay, I guess I better look into this whole psychic medium stuff… and I read everything I could get my hands on. After taking Lisa’s online psychic development course, I began giving readings and gone on from there. I really love what I do, I love giving people that little tidbit of information that gives them closure or a sense of peace, or just knowing that their loved one is okay… I especially love the messages that are filled with love and reassurance from the other side; them making sure this person knows they were and still are very much loved. I work mainly with my angels, and of course my guides, and feel a connection with Quan Yin. I also have a very strong connection with dolphins and am looking to delve more into their magical energy in the near future.

My husband got into reiki while we were living in Texas, a while after I started doing my readings. He was a healer in a past life and picked it up as if he had never stopped. His hands have an intense energy and actually this gold shimmer that looks like he has flecks of actual gold on his hands, it’s pretty wild!! He studied under Roe Bear, a fantastic Cherokee man who I think we will always feel a connection to as well as the other wonderful people at Messages of Joy in Lewisville, Texas… we love them!!!!!!

Recently, I added Reiki I & II to my repertoire, and we both are now Theta Practitioners. We had heard about Theta while in Texas, but moved before we could take the training there. After searching for over a year, we finally found a wonderful Theta Teacher, Maureen Fitzgerald, and we both took Theta I & II from her. I have already done some Theta sessions, and can see the tremendous and wonderful difference it makes in people’s lives. On a personal note, we have been married for 11 years and have two beautiful children. We are originally from California, but have lived in VA twice, in SC, TX and WA state, and hubby was in the Marine Corps for four years (in San Diego, where we met) I have had some unusual hobbies in my life, such as being a kicker on my high school football team, and I am a prior IT geek, I even worked at Microsoft! Hubby was a truck driver for 10 years and we are very, very happy to be out of “corporate America”…. we made the leap and we’re definitely not looking back. We’re only looking forward to all the wonderful people we will meet along our journey, the friends we’ll make and the lives that will be touched, both ours and others’.
